Over the course of recent years, fluctuations in the price of fuel have had a significant impact on the transportation industry. Because of this and the expected variability in prices going forward, we have had to include a Fuel Surcharge in our quotes.
The surcharge is variable and subject to market fluctuations in fuel prices. Depending on fuel price movements in the month prior to the shipment, the percentage added as the Fuel Surcharge may rise, fall or remain the same.
The Fuel Surcharge has been applicable since May 15, 2017 and is based on the average price of diesel in the month prior to shipping. This information is published on our www.almex.com.mx website on a monthly basis on the fifteenth day of every month.
The percentage is applied to concepts related to the transportation service for a given shipment.
